Create and maintain enterprise-grade tools to manage cloud accounts, including master policy guardrails and the account-managements tools to implement procedures to ensure secure use of cloud infrastructure.
Provide customers with guidance on best practices for working in the cloud and assist them in learning how to do so securely and efficiently while minimizing costs.
Provide senior IT management with guidance on cloud infrastructure usage and planning.
Provide senior IT management with guidance on possible near-term advancements in the subject area.
Actively keep current with ongoing developments in best practices and technology changes in the cloud ecosystems (as demonstrable through certification programs).
Work closely with the security and networking teams within Enterprise IT to ensure that all cloud infrastructure meets industry standards and best practices, and to assist them in creating policies and procedures around cloud computing.
Relevant experience typically exhibited by a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of professional cloud experience. Extensive experience with AWS and familiarity with MS Azure and GPC. Expertise with Infrastructure as Code scripting languages, such as Terraform. Demonstrable experience with cloud security. Knowledge of enterprise cloud account provisioning methods and tools. Experience with HIPAA and FERPA compliance. Experience with current programming standards, such as version control, automated testing, issue tracking, documentation, code reviews, continuous integration, and containers. Experience with QA testing procedures, and ability to develop test plans. Strong debugging skills. Experience with agile programming methods. Ability to manage DNS entries. Demonstrable team experience. Effective oral and written communication skills; strong ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical audiences. Demonstrable ability to manage several projects concurrently, and experience using project management tools. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications AWS, GPC, or MS Azure certifications relevant to creating a cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
