Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer – TypeScript
\nSan Diego (San Marcos) or Vancouver, Canada - onsite

\n\n

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET with strong TypeScript development skills.

\n\n

This is a code-heavy role. We are not looking for someone who only writes automation scripts. You need to be comfortable writing, reviewing, debugging, and designing TypeScript code at a software-engineering level.

\n\n

What You’ll Do

\n\n

Build automation frameworks from scratch in TypeScript
Develop automation across Web, Mobile, and Desktop
Write, review, and debug production-quality TypeScript code
Build test automation closely integrated with the game/application environment
Design test cases, coverage, and Shift-Left quality strategies
Review unfamiliar code, identify issues, and troubleshoot failures
Apply OOP principles and software design patterns
Perform API, SQL, performance, and cross-platform testing
Work closely with developers, product, and design teams
Mentor other QA engineers and help improve overall quality practices

\n\n

What You Need

\n\n

5+ years of QA Automation / SDET experience
Strong hands-on TypeScript software-development experience
Ability to explain the difference between scripting and software development — and demonstrate the latter
Strong OOP fundamentals: abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism
Knowledge of design patterns such as Factory, Singleton, Strategy, Observer, MVC, and Page Object
Strong code-reading, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience building automation frameworks, not just maintaining existing scripts
Playwright experience
Appium or equivalent mobile automation
API testing and strong SQL skills
CI/CD experience
Experience testing across Web, iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac

\n\n

Nice to Have

\n\n

Gaming or interactive product experience
Cucumber/Gherkin
JMeter or LoadRunner
Java automation experience
Experience building QA processes from the ground up
