Director of Business/Application Support- for innovative company in Miami, FL

Responsible for the support of the organization enterprise applications and overall strategy and delivery of business value through information technology projects; ensuring clear and concise communication with the rest of the organization and proactively improving business processes.

Business Process Management and Improvement – responsible for delivering innovative IT solutions that provide business value, leaning out and improving current processes that meet quality goals. Capture and continuously measure that program metrics are achieved and deviations from plans are clearly communicated and dealt with in a timely manner; lead and implement effective project management governance; ensure that ongoing change management activities are successfully planned and executed; champion ongoing department wide process improvement initiatives. – Manage IT initiatives across all business functions whenever it makes sense to do so. Partner with internal business leaders to define business cases and priorities, determine best use of internal and external resources.  Communicate effectively with a Change Management Committee to make sure priorities are defined and aligned with business goals.
Applications Support – Responsible for the daily stability of the company’s ERP and its ancillary data integration and other key enterprise applications.  Manage an ongoing request queue for validity and priority with direct reports.  Negotiates contractual agreements with external professional service providers.  Influence the future enterprise application direction.
Team Building & Management – Responsible for providing high quality customer service to business departments (internal customers) at all levels; responsible for mentoring and providing professional coaching to the application support team to ensure that each member is fully engaged and provides a meaningful contribution to the organization; responsible for encouraging a sustainable high quality work pace; assisting with team productivity while holding each team member accountable for their commitments; helping to remove roadblocks from their work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or Computer Science.  Candidates with degrees from accredited educational organizations will be given priority.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and managing (hands on) of mid-sized ERP’s such as Epicor, Great Plains, SAGE X3 or Solomon
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing other enterprise applications such as Web portals (B2B and B2C/Intranet/extranets) and data integration projects comprised of “on premise” and/or cloud applications.
  • 5+ year’s business process analysis experience including knowledge of business workflow and process concepts
  • Excellent understanding of Project Management principles
  • Experience with Project Management software
  • PMP preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects of medium to high complexity to successful completion; able to handle multiple concurrent projects
  • PM financially savvy; able to manage the flow of incoming invoices and track actuals to budgeted goals for efficient status updates.
  • Knowledgeable and open to consider the latest SaaS products for ERP, EPM, MRP, CRM and HCM.
  • Experience managing IT projects with deep understanding of how technology can enable business processes and results
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and influence Sr. Executives (up to C-suite) to get agenda accomplished
  • Excellent attention to detail, possess excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills; ability to plan for all eventualities and provide solutions to issues
  • Demonstrated thought leadership, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good analytical and budgeting skills
