My client is seeking an Application Support Analyst that will be responsible for functional and technical support of the current Enterprise Resource Planning system and its ancillary modules and data interfaces. The incumbent will use specialized technical knowledge to solve simple to complex business problems related to the use of the ERP and other enterprise systems. Researches, develops and deploys solutions across multiple functional departments. Responsible for documenting and training end users on custom changes.
  • Facilitates decisions and makes recommendations that have an important impact on overall functionality of ERP and its peripheral systems.
  • Promotes minor user interface (UI) changes into the production environment of the ERP system.
  • Administers user accounts, role level security, on-boarding/off-boarding of ERP users.
  • Solves simple to complex problems and develops methods, standards and processes for diverse business activities.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in translating requirements to extraneous support teams.
  • Reviews and seeks understanding of operational business procedures and methods specific to functional business areas by mapping current business processes, defining and analyzing business activities, proposing best practices, and recommending solutions.
  • Works with technical resources to assist in the testing and implementation of new deployment or revisions.
  • Identifies necessary actions on technical tools and processes for configuration and lifecycle management.
  • Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping or system implementation results and leads toward a corrective action.
  • Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related technical fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality and effectiveness of the business solution.
  • Assists in writing and editing quality or training documentation for operating procedures, processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with a large scale ERP (such as Oracle or SAP) or mid-size enterprise accounting system (such as SAGE X3, MS Dynamics, Epicor or similar)
  • 3+ years of experience with financial business processes
  • Ability to quickly learn to support the current ERP and any peripheral modules.
  • Ability to understand complex business logic and complex enterprise applications
  • Ability to code (or quickly learn to code) using basic scripting, 4GL, or ANSI SQL language. (MS SQL or ORACLE SQL)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication and customer focus skills; ability to work with users and vendors on issues and questions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization by providing clear concise communication.
  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to work efficiently with other team members.
  • Well organized and able to prioritize, organize, and coordinate task and projects
