AWS Solutions Architect (2 openings)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Start: December 1, 2025)


My client is establishing a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and migrating enterprise systems to AWS. As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in designing the overall architecture and cloud strategy, while helping build Company’s internal capabilities through hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer.
You’ll collaborate with other cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, and healthcare stakeholders to define AWS best practices, optimize architecture for scalability and security, and ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to the cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and implementation of AWS cloud architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Partner with engineering teams to architect and deploy secure, HIPAA-compliant solutions.
  • Define cloud governance, automation, and monitoring standards for the Cloud Center of Excellence.
  • Oversee migration of on-prem workloads to AWS using best practices for compute, storage, and networking.
  • Evaluate and select AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, EKS, etc.) to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Provide mentorship and training for Company’s internal IT teams, enabling self-sufficiency post-engagement.
  • Contribute to architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical playbooks.

Required Qualifications
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (required)
  • 7+ years of IT experience with 4+ years focused on AWS architecture and migration
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security architecture
  • Expertise in designing highly available, fault-tolerant architectures
  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps workflows
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to guide technical and non-technical teams
  • High EQ and proven success in coaching or mentoring roles

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic or other healthcare application integrations
  • Experience designing data pipelines and analytics solutions in AWS
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS) and CI/CD automation
