We are seeking an IT Director of Financial Applications to lead our revenue cycle technology strategy and operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards.
The IT Director, Financial Applications will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of financial and revenue cycle systems, with a strong focus on Epic revenue cycle modules. This role requires a unique blend of hands-on technical expertise and leadership experience, with a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations.
The director will serve as the primary liaison between IT and revenue cycle stakeholders, including outsourced partners, while maintaining accountability for all revenue cycle IT functions in-house.
Lead strategy, development, and support for financial and revenue cycle IT systems, with emphasis on Epic applications.
Partner with outsourced revenue cycle operators (such as Ensemble Health Partners, R1 RCM, Optum, or Conifer) to ensure effective integration and optimization of workflows.
Provide hands-on technical oversight of Epic revenue cycle modules, including implementation, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Drive operational excellence and compliance in financial applications, ensuring systems meet healthcare regulatory standards.
Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering professional growth and a culture of accountability.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial IT strategies with broader organizational objectives.
Oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and budget planning for financial systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive IT experience in healthcare, including direct involvement with Epic revenue cycle modules.
Strong background in healthcare revenue cycle operations; experience coordinating with outsourced revenue cycle firms strongly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to grow and manage high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to travel to Jupiter Medical Center at least 2 weeks per month if not local; relocation strongly preferred.
